Kerala - Neleshwaram

Flanked by Nileshwaram and Karyangodu rivers, Neleshwaram is a picturesque location set in Kasargod District of Kerala state. The place derives its name from one of the names of Lord Shiva Neelakanteshwaran meaning blue-necked God. Neleshwaram is home to folk arts, temple festivals, a palace, kavuus (sacred grooves), old markets, and a weaver street. Festivals in Nileshwaram are Pooram and Kalasam in Mannampurathukavu and the festival in Thaliyil temple.
