North India - Dharamsala

Set on the upper hilly terrains of Kangra valley with lush green Dhauladhar Mountains in the background, Dharamsala is an ideal place for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Bhudhism has deep roots in Dharamsala as large thousands of Tibetan exiles settled here. A war memorial built to commemorate the war heroes of Himachal Pradesh is a hot tourist spot. Among the other notable tourist destinations are Kunal Pathri - a temple made out of rocks, Kangra Art Museum, and Dal Lake.
