Located in south-western Karnataka, Mangalore is an important port city with ample scope for tourism. Mangalore got it name from the presence of the much revered Mangaladevi temple. The temple is a popular pilgrimage destination and situated 3 Km from the city center. A major chunk of coffee and cashew are exported from Mangalore’s port in India. February – September is the peak tourist season in Mangalore.
