Swamimalai

Lying on the banks of river Cauvery, Swamimali is an agricultural village producing mainly rice and sugarcane. According to Hindu mythology, it is one of the six "Padai Veedugal" (Battle Camps) of the Lord Murugan. Swamimalai means 'God's mountain'. Swamimalai houses one of the six temples of Lord Karthikeya.
